1. What is your role at Ndara?

I can make most of the Ndara products. I started with Ndara making rugs and baskets, then I learnt how to sew, first by hand, then using a sewing machine. Today I produce a lot of animals, foldable baskets as well as rugs. I also help to manage the boutique.

2. What does Ndara mean to you?

Ndara means second chances to me. I started working for Ndara, but did not do a very good job. I was lazy and didn't pay attention to quality, so after my trial period I had to leave Ndara. After a lot of thinking at home, and really regretting my behaviour, I went back to Charlotte and asked for a second chance. I said I had realised that my future depended on my hard work. And Ndara gave me a second chance. Since then I have worked very hard.

3. What are your hopes for the future?

I recently had my second baby, I hope that I will continue to work at Ndara so I can take care of my children. I want them to go to good schools. I hope that I will be able to learn how to make clothes as well as Omega and Jocelyne, I would love that! I also hope that I will become better at reading and writing so that I can manage the boutique better. For Ndara, I hope that we’ll find new products to learn so we continue to grow and develop.
