1. What is your role at Ndara?
I am a carpenter, so I work on the chopping boards. But I also help on building furniture: for the Ndara team to use, to sell in the boutique or for custom orders for clients.
2. What does Ndara mean to you?
Ndara made me learn so much. I had never made a chopping board before, and in all honesty I did not know the value of the detailed finishing that I was taught here. Ndara is my full time job, and this is how I feed, cloth and care for my family.
3. What are your hopes for the future?
I hope that I can continue to work and learn new things here at Ndara. Being a carpenter in the Central African Republic, I never really had access to any advanced tools - so I hope that in the future I can learn and get the opportunity to work with more advanced tools. I also hope Ndara will grow, so it can teach more skills to more people.
