    Charlotte didn’t start Ndara as a business — she started it as a response to what she saw time and again: remarkable talent hidden by hardship. Raised and rooted in the Central African Republic, she’s witnessed how creativity can survive conflict, and how, when given space, it can heal and thrive. Charlotte is the heart of Ndara — creative lead, strategist, and mentor — guiding everything from the first product to the Bangui boutique and international launch. She works closely with the artisans to build skills, confidence, and a shared future.

  • Racey

    Racey co-founded Ndara in 2017 after years of work in the Central African Republic, where her passion for sustainable development first connected her with Charlotte. Now running her own farm full time in the US, she continues to support Ndara with logistics and administration in the US and internationally.

  • Omega

    Omega joined Ndara during the pandemic, eager to support her family. A trained seamstress, she quickly became a lead maker and mentor. Now running her own tailoring business and teaching others, she dreams of managing Ndara one day.



  • Garnella

    Trained by her father, Garnella joined with basic sewing skills and is now a lead producer and boutique manager. She’s invested in land, livestock, and her future — all with a big smile and unwavering resilience.

  • Jocelyne

    Jocelyne began with home-based tailoring, sewing masks during the pandemic. Today, she’s mastered new techniques, opened a workshop at home, and is raising four children while building toward lasting independence.

  • Vanelle

    Vanelle carved her own crochet hook and taught herself to sew. Today, she mentors others, owns land, and dreams of opening her own workshop — turning quiet determination into lasting change.

    A skilled crocheter, Josiane joined in 2017 and has since learned embroidery, machine sewing, and boutique management. She’s a calm, steady trainer and a beloved team elder.

    Secretly self-taught as a child, Meryse joined Ndara in 2017. Now a confident artisan and provider, she manages the boutique and is laying the foundation for her own home.

  • Marina

    Taught by her father, Marina sewed school uniforms before joining Ndara. A survivor and mother of six, she helps shape the boutique and uses her earnings to farm and educate her children.

    Juste began sewing at 14, eventually funding his own training in leatherwork. A father of five, he joined Ndara to grow and now crafts high-quality goods with purpose and pride.

  • Patrick

    Once a hairdresser, Patrick learned to sew at 20. Recruited to cover a maternity leave, he found more than work — he found purpose. He now supports his family and farms cassava with joy and faith.


  • Yann

    Yann learned tailoring in his father’s shop and runs his own atelier. At Ndara, he pushes creative limits, while raising four kids and dreaming of a future in furniture and fine art.






  • Macaire

    A lifelong maker, Macaire mastered leatherwork young and now teaches at Bangui’s art school. At Ndara, he thrives on innovation, helping turn creative vision into handcrafted reality.

  • Jhovit

    Fleeing civil war in Burundi, Jhovit rebuilt her life in CAR. An artisan and admin at Ndara, she now raises goats, tends land with her husband, and works toward starting a small dairy farm.

  • Alain

    Son of a master tailor who worked for Emperor Bokassa, Alain leads the workshop with skill and heart. Trained in upholstery and tailoring, he mentors artisans and co-develops Ndara’s most intricate designs.

  • Pascaline

    The youngest artisan at Ndara, Pascaline taught herself to sew by copying Ndara products at home. Now a mother of two, she brings energy and focus to every task as she trains and grows.
